The 9th biennial ISAKOS Congress was held this past week in Toronto Canada. With more than 4,000 Orthopedic Surgeon attendees, the ISAKOS Congress is well known for the unique opportunities it provides its attendees. Surgeons from across the world are able to discuss ideas, learn the newest innovations in orthopedics, as well as pose questions to their renowned colleagues.
The ISAKOS Congress highlights how globalization has created a tightly connected orthopaedic community of surgeons who are moree aligned in their thinking and practice than in the past. For Arthrosurface, this was an excellent meeting with many new surgeons who came by our booth to see our innovative technology for the very first time. These new connections could lead to the introduction of Arthrosurface into as many as 10 new markets this year. There were surgeons who flew in from across the world, as far away as New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Argentina and Turkey, who shared their collective experiences and data with surgeons from North America.
The leading product at the show was NanoFx, the pleuri potential cell technology recently launched by Arthrosurface. The introduction of this biological option is changing the image of Arthrosurface from simply being a surface implant company to becoming a new leader in joint preservation!
