Toe HemiCAP Patient Follow-up

July 15, 2014

In March of 2011, Jack Sweeney had two HemiCAP’s implanted into his big toes. At the time, he was 45 years old and had been living with severe pain for over 10 years. Before his surgery, Jack had to walk on the outsides of his feet to avoid pain during daily activities such as walking up the stairs. He also had to make several lifestyle changes including the size of shoes and altering his golf swing in order to get by with less pain.

In his initial testimonial video, Jack documents his toe problems before surgery as well as his successful progress from day 1 to day 90 after the Toe HemiCAP’s were implanted. You can even see him walking unassisted less than 24 hours after surgery!

We were so happy that Jack had experienced such impressive results that years later, the team at Arthrosurface wanted to follow up with him to hear about the rest of his journey with the HemiCAP’s. As you can see in the clip below, Jack is still happy and pain free, three years post surgery. He got his golf swing back and greatly improved his fitness level, losing over 40lbs! Watch Jack’s journey below and see if Arthrosurface could be right for you!
