Arthrosurface^® offers three products for the treatment of articular cartilage defects in the knee.

The first two systems are for the Femoral Condyle.  The femoral condyles are located at the bottom of your thigh bone or femur.  There are two condyles which articulate with the top of the shin bone or tibial plateau.  They are frequently involved in arthritic problems.  One of these systems, the UniCAP™ Meniscal Sparing Unicondylar knee system has a second component that fits into the tibial "kissing defect" in cases of bone on bone wear.

The third system is the HemiCAP^® for the Patello-Femoral joint.  The patello-femoral joint is the area behind the kneecap or patella where the kneecap moves or articulates as the leg is bent and then straightened.  It is a common spot for a focal articular defect caused as a result of when the patella shifts outside of its' normal travel within this groove and creates wear on the underside of the patella as well as the groove.  Reestablishment of normal tracking of the patella must be addressed as part of the treatment of the articular defect.  The Patello-Femoral system is FDA approved and CE marked.
